Do you think maybe, oh just a wild guess, ya think amy went out Joplin style? Just saying. Seriously, she was far to young. I wish her family comfort.

Re: Rest In Peace
One of the greatest mysteries of modern rock'n'roll history seems to have manifested itself again in the death of 27-year-old soul singer Amy Winehouse.

The multiple-Grammy winning artiste, who shot to fame for hits like "Rehab", "Stronger Than Me" and "Love Is A Losing Game", was most famous for her tryst with drugs
and alcohol. Her death will heighten the enigma around one of the most unsettling phenomena in the history of music - Amy's joined Brian Jones
(the guitarist of Rolling Stones), Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, all among 38 famous musicians who died at the young age of 27.
The 27 Club, also known as Forever 27, has seen stars die of drug overdose, freak accidents, suicides, and even murder. Hendrix's biographer Charles R Cross wrote,
"The number of musicians who died at 27 is truly remarkable by any standard. Humans die regularly at all ages... there is a statistical spike for musicians who die at 27."

Re: Rest In Peace
On Coast to Coast this morning, they were talking about what they termed "The 27 Club", mentioned all these young people who passed. Mentioned the old album, that caused rumors of Beatle Paul was dead. At that time, he was 27. Strange huh? Fortunatly for me, none of the bands I was with, never went anywhere but locally in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, basically N.W., as Paul Revere, The Sonics, and a handfull of others, as very possibly, I could have been added to that list. (Read between the lie time). But, for the grace of God, go I.

Re: Rest In Peace
Rest in peace to a guy that none of you knows but shouldn't have died. Especially the way he did. This is really a screwed up world.I'm really getting sick of answering my phone and hearing someone say another name of a person we went to school with and the statement "just died".I also don't want to hear or read about another one of the friends of my kids who just died. These things shouldn't happen at their ages!I feel like I have heard these things way to often in the past few years. It's makes me sick to hear the stories and think of the families and what they must be going through.
