Adult website scams and methods.
WebNaughty, all the mods will tell you, is allot of work!
Profiles and postings are all checked by live real people ....allot of work, but worth it to keep a REAL WEBSITE FOR REAL PEOPLE ! So much credit also goes to the faithful membership for their efforts to work WITH us!
*I'm starting this after replying to someone in the "introductions" forum....I'll add to it when I have more time... and sorry, I didn't do allot of proof reading or editing! Time is a little short for me to day!

FREE TRIAL OFFERS, BLOATING, AND HOOKS!
Free trial offers ....These are used to bloat their profile numbers and membership numbers..ie..letting you think that there are a gazillion active members in YOUR AREA or that their site is the biggest most popular on the internet when actually their membership tally and member search results for your area are just free trial people who now also have their profile stuck in adult site purgatory. People join, several days later, the free trial is up, and the website keeps your profile and everything in it active to "Bloat" their site, even though you cannot access it! You'll have to pay the membership fee to acess or delete your account.
You may not get any or much mail during the free trial time, but when the trial is up, you'll be flooded with spam from them in your inbox till the day you depart this earth! This spam you get, saying someone saw your profile and wants to talk to you, but..ya can't now, unless you pay the membership to gain access into your mailbox! These messages are often from "hooks"...people who get rewarded by the site for luring trial customers back in to pay the fee, or just fake profiles made up and auto/robot messages come from them, or some sites use both!
Allot of sites allow their website to be used for advertising for other adult sites, they sell bulk profile space to webmasters so they can come in with profiles of their web cam girls, chat girls, to lure you to their pay by the minute sites. (Many times, these working girls don't even know they have all these other profiles on all these other sites promoting " real people want to fuck you now for free!" Straight out, they are just selling advertising space!
If you get messages in your primary email inbox (outlook express, etc...) like "here's your matches for this day,(week, month, etc...) so much of this practice is just standard form mass mailing, and everyone everywhere will be looking at the SAME (or computer generated random rotation) photos of people in their emails, just the area and location and a few other details will be personalized to you.
BANNER ADS AND POP UPS
I'm sure we've all seen these will cruisin' the 'net.
A series of photos of hot adults and under their photo...OMG! They all live within ten minutes of you! All from your area! Yeah, these same hot adults, the VERY same, all live in my home town too! The site allowing the banner ad, collects info from you computer, actually logs your IP address, and can take that same series of photos and magically make them your hometown folks! This method really pisses me off, hell if they are scammin' before you join, think of the scamming you'll take when you DO join.

Very well said Chazzy. Everything you said about those other sites is right on the money. That's why we have stuck here. The people here are real and genuine. We have made so many good friends here, that I couldn't even think of leaving. We haven't even hooked up with anyone here for sex, but we have meet, live and in person, some wonderful people here as great friends.  I wouldn't change that for the world.

You may see my face occasionally on a banner ad, my big mistake, I use to, several years ago, work for a webcam chat site...and in thier very long fine print "terms of aggreement"... they are allowed to use my image anyway they choose to.
You may even see my face on a few of these other adult sites with a profile I did not write or submit...it's just my photo, it's not me...I'm not there, I'm here!

Something I used to tell my customers during my days at Circuit City: NOTHING on the internet is free, and if they feel the need to advertise through other websites, it's likely a major scam and to not waste your money.
Of course, I was talking about downloading music (PAY FOR IT!!! Trust me!) and spyware/virus removal tools (what happens when you don't pay for the music...). The same goes for the adult sites.
I've never seen a Webnaughty ad on any other website (I found it through google), and while you have to pay to be able to message anyone you want (tempting...), the cost of this site is the work we have to do together to make all the new members feel at home. I love the fact that memberships don't "expire" like on other sites and we have free use of the forums and chat rooms (I still miss the private messages to anyone  ) It'd be nice to see some new features added to the site (mostly for paying members  ) and maybe open up the messaging for everyone with some sort of limit...

I love that too...sometimes people disappear for a little while for a variety of reasons. We miss them, wonder about them, worry about them...then one day you log in, check the forums and there they are with a "I'm back!" post!

Absolutely!! If anyone here insist on taking you "off site" (insist on communicating via personal email or an instant messaging program) and then wants to redirect you to a pay for view cam site...report 'em! Abs will sort it all out!
You can report them several ways, direct a message to absix, use the link at the bottom of their profile, or if they contact you by private message, use the link at the bottom of the message you have recieved from them.

I was suspended from a different site for mentioning a friends handle
Here I can talk to others who might have the friend that I do with out fear of losing my account even though I am only a nonpaying member

I was a VIP member for a short time in early 2006 (45 day promo) after being a non-paying member for a while...then I dropped away. A little more than a month ago I rejoined as a lifetime member. I almost begged Agatha F (in customer support...I wonder...is she a member?) to let me take advantage of WN's lifetime promo (because it was after the expiry date). She was so gracious as to let me join...I was so happy. You're an angel Agatha!. I hope to become more involved than I have ever been. It sounds to me like I've found the answer to my prayers. I've been duped by all those other sites before, just looking for something real and genuine. The closest thing I ever found was a small section on the AOL forums, but it began to be overrun by bots and scary people. I don't like the scary people. 
I look forward to meeting many of the people here. Nothing is more worthwhile than meeting others who have something genuine to offer. Cheers!

We do NOT want webcam chat for pay girls here!!! They have plenty of warning on the registration page when they join here as to just how much they are NOT WANTED!!
We really appreciate how much ya'all love this site and love to keep it real for real people and help us keep out the scammers.

We don't need webcam girls here, I did webcam work once and I didn't like men coming to my paysite trying to get it for free and I didn't go to personals sites tricking men....I think that practice is just dispicable...people come here to meet real people , if they wanna pay for chat...they would go to a pay-for-chat site...

It is a cool and SAFE place for those of us that like a little sexy chat and some fun interaction through forums to come and enjoy ourselves. so true we have been on this site for awhile and not much change over the years, compared to other sites i been on. and even though i been sitting on the side watching whats happing. the other site get ya one and then start taking things away from ya or infect ya. its not very good incentive to get ya to join it made me leave the site, when your not having any fun why be there lol. we also deleted most of our sexy photos ...to many of what the wife calls leg humpers, makes me wonder why she wont chat no more. after all we are not rude ,pushy or too nosy. we even been to a lot of meet and greets for other sites, and got to meet people who are stuck ups, creeps that cant understand the rules , no and hands off mean just that. peeping toms and one child molester who was chasing the wife's Friend and then got busted for messing with a 9 year old....he got what he deserved.
then we are not looking to get laid every other day and if we were that horny....lol well ya know
so that brings it back to good friends and good food, we sure like to cook and good conversation...and good company

There are some sites that once you upload photos, you can't delete them, sometimes you cannot delete photos or your account until you pay the premium membership!

I was directed to this post by Chazzy(thanks! ) due to her finding a clue to my real adult email address in my essay on my profile after posting in the introduction forums.
The clue was there because another "popular" site screwed me over after I paid them. They still would not let me send messages or even open the messages sent to me even though they boldly claimed 100% free and full communication between paid members.
Well they screwed me so I screwed right back and created a way to direct members that read my profile to my real email that would slip past their "cheat checks system".
It turned out to not really help much anyway because their "millions" of members were actually a few gyped people and a but load of made up profiles and old expired profiles they had built up.
Anyway I really liked the way I wrote my essay on that site. So I went there and copied it and pasted it here as my essay. Still having the "clue" in it. Chazzy helped me out with that. Now it is nice and proper.
I do want to ask something though about this site. I noticed before I joined the following:
"Join now - IT'S FREE!
View hot profiles - IT'S FREE!
Browse uncensored photos - IT'S FREE!
Contact other naughty members - IT'S FREE!"
But when I try to contact other members here I get the following:
"A VIP membership will give you unlimited and unrestricted privileges plus access to extra VIP ONLY bonuses!"
Asking me for my credit card info and prompting me to pay.
I am a bit confused. Can we "Contact other naughty members - IT'S FREE" or not?
Are we supposed to get like total free member to member contact and I am encountering an error or possibly we get a limited number of members we can contact per day and I am again getting an error that is sending me right to this "Oh wait you gotta pay first" page?
From the way everyone here is describing the site it is my guess that I am getting some kind of redirect error that is not letting me contact other members or not recognizing that I have not used any of my daily allotted contacts yet. If so I wonder if other members are experiencing the same glitch.
I really like this place and want it to grow so there are more people to have a chance to meet up with and to make friends with. Therefore I don't want other people coming here and getting the same problem and then thinking they are getting baited into joining then being denied the very thing that lured them here and then they leave the site.
So what is up? Is it a glitch or a misstatement? Can we actually contact other members for free? If not then that statement needs to be changed or removed.
Any ideas ir tech info on this?

as a free member...we are allowed to contact other members for free, just not in the way that you are thinking, you can send any member a predetermined "naughty note", or flirt, if you will...to let them know that you may be interested. you CAN, however send personal messages to ANY VIP's for free. and, if you view a members profile, and you like what you see? try catching them online, in the chat rooms. these are available for absolutely free!! you can always just start posting in the forums, too. that's a GREAT way for others to get to know you, before they decide to start making contact. i have been a VIP...and as soon as i get back on my feet, financially, I'll be one again. it's well worth the extra charge...if you really want to make contact.
stick around for a while, free member of VIP, either way...this site rocks.
i've made some great friends here...i've even met a few, in person.

Ahhh I see. To be perfectly honest when you think about it if we could all contact each other fully and freely no matter if we have a paid account or free one then the only way for this site to make any income would be through massive amounts of banner adds and such and they would be lucky to make enough to keep the site up.
I have been a site moderator and site admin for several sites and several years now and I understand this stuff.
Honestly the buy a one time 6 month subscription and get a lifetime VIP instead is a great offer. Too bad I cut up my credit cards. $12,000 in debt at the moment after they outsourced my job. lol the bastards only gave us 3 days warning and no severence pay.

Yeah, but here in the USA there is a term for such means to get someone to pay for something that is not actually fact based, it is "consumer fraud". I would feel certain that other countries have something similar. Currently though, with the Douche admin and court corruption, it is getting harder to prove. Just my 5 cents (used to be 2, but since US money is worthless I had to increase it).

lol. you know what's funny regarding the picture pop-ups for ' hot women in your hometown'?
I'm in China right..and they 'pop-up' these Caucasian women I just KNOW don't live in my small city.
Heck I know all 4 or 5 foreigners in town here!
Must be harder if you live in the US or Australia though to see through the scam.
But you are right, it's kinda scary that your URL is known.

Wow Chazzy...thanks for the info...i NEVER knew that...what I want to know is why a lot of these sites have WOMEN pop up on my screen (it would be nice to see men for a change..at least ONE).
And yes, now I have TONS of spam from 'women' who want me to just click on some link to respond....i mean TONS and I don't know how they got my email (well, now i do).. Or it could be from me clicking the X to get rid of those 'chat boxes' that pop up too....I dunno...
Funny that everyone sees the same people thats in THERE area.....I honestly thought these people were local, lol

I joined as a free member several websites before coming here, and since my postal ,..or zip code is a GPS co-ordinate, I used one fairly close to me.
I was inandated with emails from some of the hottest women on the planet, giving me their personal emails...all these women who were so in love with me ,were from a place called Seton's Portage.
Now let me explain something.....Seton Lake is one of the bluest, clearest lakes in North America, and is one of the prettiest spots on the face of the earth.
Seton's Portage has a population of 52 people, unless the fishing lodge is full, then the temporary population goes up to maybe 85 or so.
If there were those dozen or so women walking around that village....Id'a noticed a few of them, trust me.
They'd shoot me an email, saying "Meet me for a drink in the bar, and come to this site ,or another and we'll talk more"
One said "If we talk on 'such and such' a site, and we hit it off, I'll meet you at the Hilton in town, and we'll get a room and bang each other into oblivion"
I emailed her back saying " That sounds great !! But the only room available right now is at Seton Lake Fishing Resort.....and the cabin is right next to the fish cleaning station. I hope your ok with the smell of decaying fish heads....Also the local pub is in the same building. Just a warning, they don't allow smoking in the building because there is a fresh layer of sawdust on the floor"
Some people will go to any effort, to draw the 40 bucks out of your pocket every month. I was innocent enough to email them in the first place, and get onto their database for automated emails...saying that my emails were garbled or unreadable, and to just join their site to "Make it easier" to communicate with them...
There are a few here that realize that there is a test you must pass before I let you into my personal life, or before I'll trust you...and that requirement is to pay attention just a little, and to give me the truth.There isn't any body language to measure things by, or tracks on the ground I can study,...there are only the words you say, and sometimes the pictures you choose to post.
Thats why I like it here......No spamming, No fake computer generated cyber hotties, No fake friends ,or camgirls asking for prostituted money....No bullshit.
