Microsoft VISTA
Anyone upgraded or using this operating system yet?
How's it working out, any best new features to mention?
Any security problems?

Hi Chazzy, I usually go to CNET (hope I can say that too here if not sorry, email me, and I will give it to you if you like, or haven't used it yet), one of the usual places I go to check out the ratings with Internet things, and from what I saw, the ratings weren't great, but that's just my opinion. I hope you find that site informative to what you are looking for.

I know personally what a freakin' nightmare Windows XP was when it was newly released, I just kinda expect the same or worse experience with Vista.
And the hardrive, memory, processors it takes to run this new OS?
Right now with XP, I have one hard drive just for the operating system, and another hard drive just for storing files.

yeah, its early yet in the distribution of Vista...
but, I'm sick of Microsoft anyway and am strongly considering purchasing an Apple....I've seen what it can do working with a prior company that utilized macs....it blows awasy Microsoft..but ppl are just so darn used to MS they put up with the crap that comes with it.

I have a download I need to do for a class - tried it on the Windows ME but it was too old. So, I went out and bought a new computer as I was wanting one anyway. It has Windows Vista - it is so new that the download does not work on it either - along with my printer and my Kodak EasyShare. I am not real happy. Also - it is slow.

It was Rollie and he highly recommends it.... yeah Tropi, I might convert to Apple too,,,,sick and tired of meandering along with Microsoft......

I don't like the idea of openin up my computer to others, so I'm going to avoid using Vista for as long as I can.  I've been told by a few ppl in the computer industry that there is something in the vista programn that allows you entire hard drive to be viewed by microsoft and that they have the ability to delete programs that they feel to be pirated or unlawful. And if that's true then you know that Big Brother is watchin too

i also heard from computer spec that there is a lot of spyware - but i am using it - i have nothing to hide! Go ahead Big Brother!!

Just 'had' to buy a new notebook for my digital imaging workflow. Went with a MacBook Pro. I have to say it is so cool I almost forgot about my need for sex! This is my third Mac but my first notebook it's just rocks!
