Good Friday marks the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. This year Good Friday will be celebrated on April 10. It is an auspicious day in the Christian festival calendar. It is also known as Holy Friday or Easter Friday. The day celebrates the sacrifice of Jesus and the price he paid for the world’s sins. It marks the ultimate sacrifice of the Lord and teaches us unconditional love that Jesus showed for the world. It is known as Good Friday as people forgive their friends and family on this day. Christians observe a fast and visit churches to observe mourning on this day and repent for the sacrifices because of which Jesus was crucified. The Sunday succeeding Good Friday is observed as the festival of Easter.
