its not spring till itsnows on a robin
well we had t storms and lighting last night . this morning pouring rain and a half a doz robins bouncing around in the yard. they are back

The fire took a couple of homes, killed livestock. Displaced families and pets.
The man started the fire by burning paperback books. Said he didn't understand the danger. He is new to the area. His home was not damaged. He will receive a bill from the state and likely civil charges will be pressed.
He is sorry.

they are always sorry for being stupid. we had one up here a few years back burning permits were canceled, guy with a fire-pit burned a nature preserve. don't take long for the wind to dry the brown stuff out and it makes for good tinder.
that's why the better half and myself would clean up in the woods after the loggers were done, come back in a year or two its so much nicer to walk though in the woods hiking or hunting and a lot less kindling on the ground.

I thinks it time we hike the ice age traail some and clears a path to the spring and them somes. take the camara too need some new photos be for the bugs get bad and eat us alive ike last year when we had to bury the cat. still looing for the old bottle dump.

well we just got 3 inches of snow on the robins, now spring can start anytime now. too darn swampy to hike yet and soon it will be too buggy too. take off to the boat launch when ya come to shore.

I saw the bunny this morning when walking the dogs. I've been picking ticks off me and the dogs. Warm weather in the low to high 80's.
My state needs rain. Lots of rain!

Most people don't consider the animals in a forest fire
I do find an awful lot of them, and it's what bothers me most.

been watching for ticks myself on the cats, the black cat not to bad , but they sure like the tommy. time for new colars for them I'm sure since they love to sleep with us and we don't live tiny live stock in our bed . lol seeing so much on lyne on tv nowadays and zika too...

Wildfires are burning across the nation but none is larger than the one in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge.
The fire, sparked by a lightning strike April 6, has grown to more than 100,000 acres.
