hi folks i got a wifi wiresless i guess its a modem/ hotspot on layaway (verizon wireless 5spot global ready 3g moble hotspot) i was wondering if anyone is useing the device? also i would need two belkin basic wireless n150 usb adaptors and the laptop has it built in already. so does anyone use this and the wireless adaptors the speed of them i take it is 150 mbs is that fast enough or should i get some faster i seen 300 too

Honestly, I would'nt have a clue. But the first part of March, will be upgrading my cell, hopefully to 4g, or more if available at that time. Maybe I will even be able to access Java Script, and try out the red room.

ya this thing is 3 g and $10 bucks for every g over starting at 35$... thats even less then what they are charging me for broadband at $50 for 1.5 g

Broadband is faster. The 3 and 4G are just if you don't have a regular broadband wireless to use. You can use the 3 and 4 G for many things but the technology just isn't quit there yet to be a true replacement for a computer yet. As far as using Java to get into the chat rooms on you cell, unless they start supporting the wireless version of java and the wireless browser you still won't be able too. This tech stuff is enough to give us all a major headache.

newbie from what i been told this thing is a wireless wifi transmitter that will work any were a cell phone will work and connects the laptop and desktops to the Internet, we shall see how this thing works and I'm keeping the wild blue dish in back up.i also been told i can't transfer the wild blue modem from one costumer to another,as if ya got one on eBay or Craig's list or someplace.and i thank you for the input...

ya i know ya would think that, but ineed to switch to a different provider ,the phone company burnt me good after i moved,all i wanted was dsl and someware i got changes to broadband and phone service shipping charges and so on. i got two cell phones i mean....

Threaten to leave them and they will cut a deal with most of those companies. Ask for a supervisor. It never hurts to ask for things,the most they can do is say no and your right where you started.They all suck. It comes down to finding what company that sucks the least for your needs. (In this case sucking is a bad thing!)

Thank you. I just hate seeing people get taken advantage of. Even worse it goes against everything in me to pay full price for ANYTHING! It just isn't necessary.

centurylink them basturds, i went to the public service ,they sent me to better business and told me there is no regulations, who told me that they are going to contact me, i heard nothing , but they charged me 8 bucks for being late?hell i sent them 4 40 dollar payments while I'm waiting on their call. then i get a disconnect after the 4Th payment.i caught it while still pending at my bank and stopped payment, them sobs ,, and it was to be shut off last Wednesday and its still going, but i cant send or get email.....

THEY BILL IN ADVANCE . ARGUE THAT YOU CAN'T BE LATE WITH A SERVICE YOU HAVEN'T RECEIVED YET. I DID IT AND THEY HAD TO TAKE IT OFF. They are absolutely regulated buy the government but only certain parts of your bill. The Public service commission is blowing you off. They also have to freeze the late fees while under dispute. But not take them off so they can hold them.They wont give you the information easily buy WRITE and call corporate headquarters and talk to the assistant to the CEO. They will at least lower your bill. They don't want to lose your business. The Public Utilities or Public service commission depending on where you live must file the complaint and has a person that handles just the cable and phone companies (Because they have so many complaints) Make sure you stand you ground and take every-ones names you talk to. Sometimes they have a local community liaison as well. You can also go to your town and have Senior services assist you at no cost. (Some towns if your over 45 they consider you a senior if not they can point you in the right direction)

That's right. Ask for what ya want. Most they'll do is laugh.

I keep askin why it is that my cable and verizon service fees never change yet the taxes do.
Watch 'em closely my friend.. If your not happy with 'em call or write the state. WI is very good at taking care of stuff.

well i have it all installed and running , and i have to say so far it seems to work great...even with the big storm going though...even at one bar out of 4 lol and its almost time to recommend it to other folks...im going to have to get the adaptor for the desktop
