Heros To Angels
I wrote this after 9/11. Its mostly in memory of the first responders who went in to save lives, but gave their own.

1.) I could not believe the tragedy

Still I couldn’t move my eyes

The fires of hell were burning

And things were falling from the skies

2.) Who could harbor this much hatred?

Who would want to maim and kill?

And why should those of us still living

Have to take this bitter pill?
