one of my cat seems to puke a lot, he's a long hair cat and he eats his dry food and then up it comes like a hairball, we feed then in door formula cat food and the other cat is ok , he dont do this with can food just the dry stuff. also we use hairball stuff we smear on their legs to help with that problem

I have to watch what dry food I buy for my cats, if the food has too much of the red colored bits, they puke more.

thanks i will have to check that out, i knew that with ally Kat, had a lot of red in it, the food coloring?
the special kitty indoor has a equal amount of colors green, red and brown. then compared to Purina indoor its even the same colors and the same shades. they say its got the greens they need.but then they always like wheat grass. maybe hes just eating too much and then it expands when he drinks. i was also wondering about parasites

Cats have pretty sensitive digestive systems.
For fresh greens I grow pots of chives, they really seem to love eating that, the chives I grow for them are actually garlic flavored chives, the garlic flavor in the chives helps with a few cats that have allergies, like flea bite allergies, I've had a cat or two so sensitive that just one bite from a flea set off a bad allergic reaction. Fleas don't like garlic, you can even sprinkle a little garlic powder in their wet food a couple of times a week. Fleas transfer tapeworms.
The best way to check for tapeworms is to check when they are having a bowel movement. The worm segments will be visible as small, whitish and kinda look like long grains of rice
Tapeworm pills are pretty expensive, but I've found a souce that is extremely cheaperthan the vet pills, and comes in an easy to measure powder.
Roundworms are usually contracted when a cat eats live infected prey like mice. You'll actually see a roundworm or two when they vomit. The roundworm dewormers are pretty cheap, and on the shelf at most places like Walmart.

A few follow up questions for ya.
How old is your cat, and is this puking thing kinda new? How many cats do you have? Do you leave dry food out at all times for them, or just put down food once or twice a day to feed them?

they are old cats about 20 lbs each we keep the bowls full they dont like seeing the bottom.one walks all over me and the other sits on and purs on my pellow.the pukeups has been going on for a while ,time to time, just wasn't sure which one of the 3 it was, we lost the oldest, down to two ...back up to 3 now , wife got akitten for her brithday yesterday,a gray one.i get worning stuff from the vet its yellow and a eyedroper. dont see any roundones and cant see anything in the littler box, i use clumping stuff.
oh the score on mice so far this fall is the cats have 4 the mice 0 and i find them on the throw rugs dead or close to it

Awwww, I love kittens! I have allot of cats, I have to leave food out at all times too. If I change their food, they will puke. The garlic chives or cat grasses makes them puke sometimes too, but puking is just something cats do to clear their digestive system. Especially if they are eating mice. If they are puking way too much, then they could be sick.
To check for tapeworms, you have to look while the cat is dropping. Gross, but since tapeworms are carried by fleas, and I have so many cats, it's something I have to do a couple times a month, just to make sure all of them are parasite free.
Ya'all sound like you really love your cats, I love mine too. In spite of the trouble they cause, playing, running, knocking things over and all that, they are a blast, and there's something very calming about a purring cat all snuggled up on you.

wifes new kitten wakes me up too early in the morning roaming the house moawin for no reason , during the day tooo , like shes lost and calling for its mom and siblings , it getting louder....
