CD Players
Who makes a good but not to expensive cd player with good sound, not like your in a tin can? I have a Bose in my bed room but it cost 500.00 and it wont even set the time automaticly by sattelite like most of them do now. I need another CD player for down stairs in her arts/crafts room. But dont want to spend alot on it.

Re: CD Players
Hi there HH. From what I have read (consumer reports and other magizines), if you use the digital output, most players a pretty much the same when it comes to the sound. The differences are in the features, single play, 3 disk, 5 disk, remote control layout etc... Check out Consumers reports at the library or online. I am always amazed at how inexpensive they are now days!
Your speakers are the most important part of good sound. There you can spend a bunch of money!!!

Oops..Just realized you might be talking about a stero system with the speakers. Looks like Yamaha and Sony are good bets. Try this link http://www.consumerreports.org/main/home.jsp

Re: CD Players
I sometimes look to amazon.com when I'm shopping. Not necessarily to buy there(although I have many times and have never been less than very satisfied!) but they do have ratings and user reviews on all the merchandise. I find it a good way to comparison shop.

I'am a little kinky, but not that far, besides I would have the same problem as you with a dress on, that hard pole projecting out in front would be a dead give away

Move the Wave to the arts and craft room and get yourself a Bose 321 for your room. It not only will play music cds butt also can provide your movie viewing (DVD) with some pretty good surround sound and thundering bass with it's self powered subwoffer. It's about $1K give or take. Otherwise look at some of the Polk Audio speakers or JBL stuff. The small 'bookshelf' types with a sub can make some great music! Polk has a great user site. Don't have the address off hand butt I'm sure if you do a search it will pop up!

Re: CD Players
I wasn't planning on spending 1k for her sewing/craft room, but it sounds like your saying to give her the Bose I have in the bed room now and buy the new Bose to replace it? that would be great if I had some action going on in the bedroom but thats been a dead issue for some time now. Thanks Deye its a great Idea maybe some day soon it will apply.

Re: CD Players
All the more reason to have a good system in your room! Nothing better then a good action / adventure move or SiFi with the added feature of being able to play back the sound track in the manor it was intended. There are a lot of inexpensive Theater in a Box systems available that will give you great sound in stereo or THX Dolby surround 5.1 (5 speakers) or 6.1 (6 speakers) with a powered sub woffer for well under $500. Many under $300! Alot of bang for the buck. Go to BestBuy or any store where your can play one and I think your'll be amaized at the sound quality and volume these little systems are capabale of. You can play most any music CD, CDR, CDRW and DVDR+/- .

Yea that plan is to have you spend more money to buy a new one cause you can't open the case to replace it. I bet you would never buy a vibrator that you couldn't change the battys

I'll open the case, no problem, but if it lasts a year, its still cheaper than buying the cd's, cd player and having to replace the CD's when they scratch or the player when the door jams open.

I downloaded almost 5000 mp3's in the last few weeks. music all day now. select all rock and roll from a year and play away..

money doesn't matter... (batteries either)

dancin' in the streets.....
