Sue let me know that she had a passion for modeling nude when we first began dating. I met Johnny and did not and do not have a problem with their projects. Actually I gain the benefits of her satisfying her need for exhibitionism in the way that is most important for me and that is a good thing.
In October 2006 Sue saw an ad on craigslist that was seeking a male artist’s model and suggested that I answer. It was never a particular interest of mine and I figured that no one wants somebody my age to model for them. But she said why don’t you call. You might like it. I let it sit a few days before calling. I figured they would politely say no thank you when I told them my age and that would be it. I called and talked to Leah, the secretary of the SWLACC- Salt Water Lovers Arts and Crafts Club, and told her I was answering the ad. She didn’t say no thank you, in fact she said it was open to all ages. The SWLACC, she said, is a group of 91 members all but two of which were women over age 65. Eight of the women wanted their own male nude photographs that they would then paint. So I said ok and gave my phone number so they could contact me.
Late November Leah called and asked if I was available the evening of December 8th for a photo session. I was to be paid $50 for two hours, all eight members would be present but only two cameras would be used and alternated between the women. I asked if I could bring a third camera for one of the ladies to use so I would have some shots for my personal files. This was okayed. December 8th arrived, Sue told me to have fun and off I went to the club. The studio they had set up was simple. They had a roll of dark paper backdrop and several cloth backdrops. All they needed was me. I was introduced to everyone and shown to the dressing room. Sue had coached me to wear loose clothing to minimize lines on my skin. I undressed, put on the provided robe and went to face the women. I was nervous and I think they were too. It was almost too clinical with everybody trying to be proper, polite and inoffensive. We needed some comic relief when Leah said, “It is time to see what we have to work with, no time to waste.” That gave me a smile and I took off the robe. I have never been naked for more than one female at a time in my life before this and to suddenly have eight sets of eyes on me was unnerving but good. I decided right then that this was going to be fun. Anyway, they had a pre selected number of poses they wanted and we shot them all. (I have copies of these first shots and will share them with all females that would like to see them) The two hours flew by and everybody was happy with the shoot. We all agreed that more shoots were in order and they would be in touch. To close part 1, I just want to add that the youngest in the group is older than me and the oldest was 77 at the time. The “golden years” they are called.
