My favorite quote(s)
Anti-war protesters have a right(because of better men than themselves)to say what they want in this country. I think they do it more to be popular among thier peers and be percieved as being hip. They are ignorant of the concept that country does not equal government and they fail to grasp the meaning of patriotism in the process. They fail to realize that they are being "kept" by those they protest against.
A quote by John Stuart Mill sums it up nicely:
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety,is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
There are other favorite quotes I'll post but first I'll let others do thiers.

Re: My favorite quote(s)
because of the abundance of sarcasim and the negative meanings of words/phases, as "no" meaning "yes", and "Go ahead", as meaning "I dare you", now adays, its quite unclear what the exact meaning of "I love you" is???? But some brilliant person from Missouri came up with a phase I use all the time,,,,,,SHOW ME! I like that one because it eliminates all the BS, and guess work, now doesn't it!

Re: My favorite quote(s)
"Simplicity in all things is the secret of the wilderness and one of its most valuable lessons. It is what we leave behind that is important. I think the matter of simplicity goes further than just food, equipment, and unnecessary gadgets; it goes into the matter of thoughts and objectives as well. When in the wilds, we must not carry our problems with us or the joy is lost." Sigurd F. Olson, Reflections from the North Country, 1976.
"Today I may dream of the past but stand always in the beauty of the present." Sigurd F. Olson
"We must ask ourselves how we truly feel about what we have done to the planet during our brief tenure upon it. Are we really willing to do what we should, and are we mature enough to forget selfish interests?" Sigurd F. Olson
"Hear me, my chiefs. I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever." Chief Joseph, Nez Perce Tribe

Sex is like air; it's not important unless you aren't getting any
Sex is better than talk...Talk is what you suffer through so you can get to sex
What's the three words you never want to hear while making love? Honey, I'm home.
The big difference between sex for money and sex for free is that sex for money usually costs a lot less.
