Heart Hurt Feelings
I’m lost trying to distinguish where one draws the line with hurt feelings, being just that... or is it on another level where it’s emotional/mental abuse. I’ve noticed at times when someone is going through a hardship or a negative time or moment in their life, they scapegoat on an innocent person/s, which has nothing to do with the actual problem or situation. We’ve all said and/or done things we are not happy about, but have learned through time not to proceed in that direction again. I try to place myself in their shoes with my kind heart trying to understand and be considerate of the situation/problem of what one might possibly be going through, but for this to be on a continual basis getting shun down, verbally/mentally…. that to me is emotional abuse.

I've always been called "sensitive" or "too sensitive" since I was a child, however...being sensitive, emphathitic, sympathetic and all that...does NOT make me a weak person...not at all, I'm a very strong person.
It's common for some people to behave as you describe. If you're sensitive enough to understand the reason behind these kinds of actions, then you know to just put some distance between you and them during these times, or just float past and beyond the outbursts.
People do behave like that, it's human nature. It's not right, but we have to deal with it.
Wanting to be loved and liked by everyone, evey moment is not possible, and we have to accept that. Sometimes what some love about us, annoys the crap out of others.

for me tica the really bothersome thing is that these manifestations are often employed by people in positions of authority my sons probation officer and the chairman of our homeowners association are two prime examples they kinda come to me with you think were screwin you now ,wait until you see what we can do to you ,I wanna tell them go find yourself a knotty pine tree and have at it

Hehe, like who the hell do people think they are?! Oh... they'll get their judgment day alright! Now about that knotty pine tree.....

ya its human nature and ya its the ones who are in power and they dont care and never say their sorry. i have a whole town of folks that rather step on your face then pick ya up off the ground.....

I'm cool, up to the point where someone confuses "I'm patient" with "I'm a freakin' doormat"....then it's time to put in the effort to discuss everything over in hopes of resolving things...if that doesn't work...then it time to put some distance in there.
I just back way off and give them space...
