I hardly ever check photoless ads, almost like a blind date, even worse, because you dont even have the 3rd persons recomendations or opinions who introduces you. Sorry.

I read the title line, if it catches the eye sor of like curiousgirls line " fuck me " that says exactly what I want to see. If a picture pops up and looks like CG's new one then I really think "wow" I might want to "fuck her."
So, all in all for me the text and profile matter the most, and the picture is the thing that makes me want to take CG and throw her to her back on the ground and ..... er what was the topic???

although one of the first things I notice about a woman is her body shape, smile and cleanliness of teeth, I do not date a woman untill I hear what comes out of her mouth and see if her face is at least pleasing to look at. So to me a shoulder to face photo is of great importance. Pussy,s and butts are nice, but I wont be looking down there, while dancing, in a resturant, or whispering in your ear.

I love how you have the poll numbers for gender and couples. That makes it much more useful.
As for photos,they are not required to make an assumption of true sexyness. One can generaly tell whether a woman is sexually/emotionaly inept while reading the profile.
IE: Profile is half-way filled out and the description is one line with no sexual thought put into it at all. This is not a person that will put any thought into a relationship either. Either they are ignorant of what might turn you on or they don't care. It doesn't really matter then does it?
For me a picture is very preliminary and tells me practicaly nothing about the person except that they know how to work the software.
Based on my experience as a measure, the people that rely on a picture for attractiveness or sexyness or hot factor whatever, will ultimately find more dissapoinment with lack of chemistry.
ie: Hot chick/guy = dud in bed is so constant it's a cliche. They're so good looking everyone trys hard to please them and they have no need to be unselfish. They don't need conversation skills or to ask you what you like, they have ten other people waiting for them to wave you off while they sip their free drinks.
Summation:
If you rely on pictures for a measure of attractiveness you might as well just masturbate to them because that's what you'll be doing to get off anyway once they've gotten theirs.
You can't see that I'm a great kisser,have manly strong hands,good sense of humor, know the importance of flirting, will act cute to see you giggle, will listen to what you think, not a one-trick-pony in bed, know where all your naughty parts are and what to do with them......etc, but you can if we talk to eachother and I can hold a conversation.........not just a picture of myself.
Want to see my picture? Sure. Once I see a genuine person looking for another one.

My current ad is very brief, simply saying "talk to me anytime about anything"
I am not ignorant or uncaring in the least, I think it sums me up very well. I don't like to talk about myself that much but I love to listen, I love getting to know other people, their interests, hobbies, passions and anything else that makes their heart race and eyes light up.
Sometimes volumes are spoken with very few words.

My statements are certainly generalizations and can't be applied to Webnaughty until some experience is gained with it. I make my examples from other sites and have barely had any contact here with exception of a core of very special people.
Peeper's profile is a good example of words that back up her pictures. Her pictures are sexy and her message exsposes enough layers to get an idea of what she is really like.
Some people just don't write well, that's cool. In your case, you respond in your posts on the message board with plenty of frankness. Hell, just the fact that you write on the message board shows more than one would ever see in a profile anyway.
The people I'm writing about try to let a few pictures of their body parts do that for them. Although your body parts are very attractive , it's the way you think about them in your posts that are so very sexy .
No, the likes of you is certainly rare and definately not the subject of my post.

Ok, here's a question that goes along with the OP.
Is the torso/chest shot enough? I've looked through the married Texas males and see how difficult it must be with the thousands of ads. I can see how easy it would make it for a woman to just request ones with photos and not try to dig through the others looking for something to spark interest.
It's much different from a male perspective. Since there is a much smaller pool that meets initial criteria. Eliminating because of not having a picture post would be moot.
I could play flesh peddeler if you just wanted to see my muscles and my body type but a select few will ever see my face. I have contacts all over here that would use that for leverage, not to mention my wife or any of her minions  I can see how having something would give me at least a few hits on my profile.
Hopefuly I will be read in my posts and known that way.

Armyboy, in my unbiased opinion you don't have to take up a whole page to show us your writing skills, cutting up other members post's just to hide your cowardness and leagal fears or what ever for not posting your photo. I don't mean to attack you, If I did its because I just had surgery,and am on medication, sorry if I offended you, your post is your opinion and this is mine. there are lots of great people here, hope you will join in and have fun.

It's common for some to have very good reasons for not posting a picture of their face.

You may sound a little harsh at times, Hothands,  but I think we've all come to know you not only as a man with strong opinions, but a man who respects that in others as well!

Not wanting to post a picture is more complicated than "cowardice". It is more simply defined as a need to protect more than just my own selfish interests. If my personality isn't enough to spark interest how is a picture going to make me any more interesting anyway?
BTW, I'm not trying to "show-off" by posting what you consider posts that are long-winded. I'm just trying to convey my feelings and communicate fully. I don't know if an effective profile or laying out myself on the message board will get women to look past the fact I don't have a picture or not. I imagine that none of it will matter since I'm married. I doubt that is one of the search criteria after "with picture" anyhow.

Your constant efforts to defend yourself and skill to manipulate words suggests that you have or are studying some form of American law, however comforting or not it may be to you there are lots of married people in this world and on web naughty also seeking interests outside their failed marriages. I guess it just bothers me if I feel or think that someone feels alone. Although I have never been accused of being intelligent, I have learned that no matter how smart and elusive a person is, there is always someone that will find a window either in your mind or your heart. I definitely feel alone. No doubt about that.
The Texas list for married females is growing so that gives some comfort. It is very aggravating to get no responses since I put effort and thought into it. I wish you would try and see that the effort I put into response to posts is not defensiveness as much as it is a willingness to communicate openly.
I really only want people to know me as well as they can since I'm just some anonymous screename to them until I do.

I liked your FAQ from a woman's point of view. I would love to show my smile but so would my wife's coworkers and the guys behind me for promotion.
By the poll 65% of women will at least occasionaly look at a photoless profile. They know they can get a photo after we're comfortable with eachother. I need to find a way to reach them and get a chance to show who I am without a photo. It must be possible.
