Hardrock don't feel bad im in the same boat. and it really is hard.
All i been doing lately is staying in a down mood because of it. it almost makes ya want to drink the holidays away.
And im not even a offten drinker but as depressed as it makes someone it's hard not to.
But just keep your head up or atleast try to thats about all that can be done.
It really makes ya stop and think hey am i really that bad of a guy but i tell you now it's not that your a bad guy at all it's just how you been treated in past relationships i have had to deal with it alot infact i had to leave a relationship that i had been in alittle over 7 years. cause i only come to find out that she could love understand and be with only me.
She had to say i love you and then run to other guys and tell them the same. finding that out after all that to in a relationship i did give my all to really hurt.
But i the type when i tell a lady i love them i am only with that one lady and that one lady only and i would had hoped she would had did the same but i was wrong and gave her chance after chance at making things right that i should had not.
Im not the game playing type guy that i know many women have had. a there are still good guys out here who do know what love is and knows how to treat women. and knows how to be with only that one lady.
it's hard finding someone you can have a strong loving relationship with and know that they are only with you. and not playing mind games and love games.

It's so good to see your face on the forum again, Hardrock.....
And comegetit, the holidays are hard on allot of people, there are people who are alone, people who are far from where they wanna be....the ones that always broke my heart, were the single parents and parents of young ones that always fell into such depression and despair during the holidays because they felt like total faillures to their children, just because, as hard as they work, they couldn't afford to spend hundreds of $$ at Walmart on plastic, battery dependent, Asian imported crap to put under the Christmas tree.

Thats true to. i think i could weight a book about the hell i have had to deal with with relationships. i have always give it my all in relationships only to get hurt.
But i never not one time ever hit any of the ladys. infact i have not never hit a lady in my life and do not like seing it be done.and it wont be put up with around me.

I used to hate holiday seasons. Christmas shopping makes no sense to me, buying dumb gifts just because it is traditional (not my tradition) is pretty stupid. I visit my family through the entire year, so another trip is unnecessary.
I found a way to enjoy the holidays, spread some happiness and to make friends or at least new acquaintences. I bake pies and cookies, lots of pies and cookies. I dress in semi formal attire (nice dress, overcoat and boots), and deliver the pies and cookies to all of my neighbors. I stop at their door, knock, wait and then hand them a pie, or a box of cookies with a card and my name and address. I do this throughout my neighborhood which can take several nights.
Most people seem pleased to receive this gift, some refuse to take it but thank me, some people won't open the door and fewer are rude and ask me to leave. The majority open their doors and invite me in for a coffee or a tea and a few minutes of chat.
I even occasionally meet someone I have a greater interest in meeting.
Try a little kindness without strings or expectations and the holidays will never be a source of sadness or depression.
