The term "horny" really bothers me. I find the word "crass' as in course, crude, unrefined.

During the last warm spell, my 92 year old mother came home with some groceries and after placing them on the worktop said me, I have come over all hot and bothered, this freaky warm weather has parched me and I'm desiring a decent cup of tea. She then wiped her wet forehead with a cool, moist flannel and turned on the kettle. I wonder what message she was trying to convey.
