Food or Ethics? Should junk food be banned?
Health Concerns: Junk food is often high in calories and low in nutrients, contributing to obesity and related health issues.
What about personal choice?

Re: Food or Ethics? Should junk food be banned?
In my opinion junk food, is what it is. It is the lowest level of the human food chain before any remaining carcass is considered animal feed. Any nutrients contained are then lost during the factory processing anyway, so is best to give it a wide birth. However in the real world, even with education it is sometimes the only option to low income and poverty stricken people, whom may also have families to support. Balanced out with some basic vegetables it can still be a good compromise. It currently seems it is a no-win situation. If political pressure was forced upon the food manufacturers to remove carcasses from the factory processing earlier, this would only inflate retail prices. I consider myself to be very lucky as a retired, average earner and have the option to choose. It is like tobacco. 100% of smokers must realise it kills, but be allowed to make their own judgements on which path they take. Not an easy topic to discuss on but a good one.

Re: Food or Ethics? Should junk food be banned?
Being British, I had to look up 3 Musketeers candy bars...
Turns out they are the UK equivalent of Milky Way. IMO, in moderation, chocolate cannot be regarded as junk food. Chocolate produces Dopamine and as we all know Dopamine is known as the 'feel-good' hormone. Of course the inside is whipped caramel and nougat which is high in sugar and very nawty. But this is easily remedied by sucking off all the chocolate, before handing it over to your partner. Same for KitKat's...
