Re: doctor who
The original series starting with William Hartnell in 1963 was the best for me. Huge bowls of the sunshine breakfast each day would ensure the cereal was completely gone before mother would let me have the empty box, so I too could be a real Cyberman. The invasion of the Daleks in 1965 scared me shitless and all in eerie black & white up until 1969 when the BBC, (original meaning ), did away with monochrome. The advanced alien technology by use of tin foil, plastic buttons and flashing lightbulbs, was way beyond our every day grey lives. But this is what early children's TV was meant for. To expand our imaginations with endless ideas. But it dragged on too long with the so many changes and I lost interest. I could never understand why the Doctor died and came back as a completely different person. Sometimes young, sometimes old, sometimes black and sometimes a woman.
Spookily enough, by the 1970's, thousands of the original Police Boxes disappeared from around the streets of the UK. So he didn't die after all, there are hundreds of Doctors circulating around the far out galaxies. Well this should ensure that the series will still be on into the next millennia.
