Space Jump
Eh...never really got into the whole extreme stunt stuff, but seriously, the space jump was pretty amazing.

Re: Space Jump
Agreed. All in all, it was kinda boring. All the way up, then all the way down. But to think of a human free falling at 650 MPH? That was amazing. I wonder what his shorts looked like when he finally hit the ground

Re: Space Jump
Yeah, I didn't sit and watch every minute. Just kinda tracked it while I worked at home, then by the time I made it to the party at my parents, helped out there a bit, it was time for the jump. Pretty cool seeing some sky dive from the edge of the strato like that!
I think the top speed for the freefall was over 720 miless an hour? Then he did the tumbling maneuver to slow down some.

Re: Space Jump
720 mph is what I heard yesterday too. Today I heard 830 and he broke the sound barrier

Re: Space Jump
Well , you would fall faster after you lightened your load as you'd puke,....I wonder if he was traveling faster than the speed of sound, if he could hear himself screaming.

Re: Space Jump
Do you think if his shute didn't open, that he would of left an impression on the ground like Wile-E-Coyote does whenever he falls from a canyon cliff in the shape of his body?...

Yes, He broke the sound barrier.
Felix Baumgartner (German: [ˈfeːlɪks ˈbaʊ̯mˌɡaʁtnɐ]; 20 April 1969 – 17 July 2025) was an Austrian skydiver, extreme sportsman, and BASE jumper.[1] He is widely known for jumping to Earth from a helium balloon in the stratosphere on 14 October 2012 and landing in New Mexico, United States, as part of the Red Bull Stratos project. By doing so, he set world records for skydiving an estimated 39 km (24 mi), reaching an estimated top speed of 1,357.64 km/h (843.6 mph), or Mach 1.25. He became the first person to break the sound barrier relative to the surface without vehicular power on his descent
