abbreviations
English not being my native language i sometimes run into abbreviations i don't understand. So if someone can help me on a few.

WM in a personal ad usually means White Male .

Took me a few mins of searching around online before it dawned on my what WMC stood for: White Married Couple
I could be wrong, but there's nothing online that's a known personals acronym for WMC. My other guess would be White Male Cross Dresser, but I doubt it.

Just would like to say thanks!Even someone who uses abbreviations regularly could become confused seeing as how words and their uses evolve daily-there were some on that list that even I didn't know.Appreciate being brought up to date.Did'nt think to ask the question,but was glad for the answer!

Good job!
I try to keep up with slang and abbreviations since texting language is sadly replacing decent speaking and writing skills...
I often have to open a browser to urban dictionary and type in an abbreviation (eh, it's kinda fun to try and guess first, but I like to know for sure)

I received a BTW, on another website and it took me 4 months to decipher. Then I received a SS, which is "so sorry".
I don't mind them being used once in a while but find it very annoying if I can't understand what I am reading or have to re-read repeatedly.
Kinda, if you can't take the time to present it to me properly... why should I take the time to figure it out? It shows me who cares and who does not.

 In time this thread about abbreviations will go farther and farther back in page number and then nobody will find it again. Wouldn't it be possible to put it in a place where it can't get lost and where it can be found ?

Maybe it's the Minnesota Vikings football team fight song. It could mean something else too, as there are many abbreviations that have multiple meanings and answers.
